9/11

So, today is the anniversary of 9/11. I was only a fetus when it happened, but wow it still hits me hard. I know this is a generic thing that people say about it all the time, but I really, really, really don’t understand the type of human that would cause the deaths of thousands of people, and terrorise millions more. 2 years ago, I went on an academic school trip to the US, and we spent a day in NY, and we went past the memorial for 9/11. It was such a sobering moment for me, and I had one of my internal monologues and everything I was thinking was questioning. Questioning why the Twin Towers no longer stand. Questioning why the atomic bomb was ever dropped…twice. Questioning why 6+ million Jews were murdered in the 1940’s. Questioning every unnecessary death ever. Our world may be beautiful, but the people who live on it sure as hell are not.

Sorry for the heavy post, but I needed to write this, even though its got nothing to do with my blog.
